Passing of Anne Rinderli

The Swiss Outdoors Club would like to send our sincere condolences to Sepp Rinderli and his family on the passing of his wife Anne Rinderli nee Widmer.

Spaziergang in Pacific Spirit Park (UBC Forest )
Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 , 11 am – 3 pm .
Route: from Jericho Park, westwards along the ocean to Spanish Banks, then through UBC Forest up to UBC Golf Club, south to 16th Ave, and then south-east to Camosun Bog . Return through pleasant residential areas down to Jericho Beach (see maps ).
Distance: 12 km | Duration: 4 hours
Level of difficulty: medium (very little climbing; mostly flat forest trails ). At various points of hike, tired hikers can exit via public transit.
Meeting Time: 11 am, Saturday, Nov. 2nd , 2013
Meeting Place: Parking lot opposite Jericho Beach concession building in Point Grey area, at most westerly end point of Point Grey Road ( 4 blocks west of Alma Str. Vancouver ). Parking is free.
Equipment: wear good, water-tight walking shoes; bring rain protection, umbrella.
Lunch: bring your own lunch; no restaurants en route.
Cancellation: only if weather is very lousy, we’ll cancel.
